Carbon sieves have crucial role in effective separation of nitrogen from air ( referred as pressure swing adsorption). This specific process of nitrogen generation is cost effective as this procedure is executed under normal temperature and low air pressure. Pure black in color, carbon molecular sieves are available in maximum 99% pure form. Granular in appearance, these nitrogen generator sieves have excellent adsorption characteristics. Carbon sieves need to be regenerated after a specific period of their adsorption. The regeneration process needs to be executed under less than 350 degree C (around) temperature. As desiccants, these carbon based sieves should be kept away from air.
